The work plan of SENSE is structured in five work packages (WP) with distinct tasks. Each partners is in charge of one or more WP.
The purpose of this work package is to conduct the creation of a European R&D roadmap for the ultimate LLL sensors to be reached within the coming five years. This roadmap shall then be implemented by the groups involved in developing such sensors. The task of the project team is to organise a monitoring and evaluation of the progress.
Synergies, cooperation and constant exchange between industry and academia will enable innovation on the LLL sensors. Work Package 2 defines all measures to optimize the cooperation between all stakeholders and other European initiatives set up to support detector R&D. The overall intension is to enable an efficient use of resources and avoid any doubling of work. In order to enable the implementation of the roadmap and to address the rather important questions on how to deal with intellectual properties an agreement with all involved research group shall be prepared and signed.
The technology exchange platform that will be developed within this work package should constitute the main tool for dissemination and exploitation of results. To ensure an efficient use of the TEP by the users a moderation of this platform by the project team is essential. To present the project and disseminate its results a professional website, a newsletter, and a social media presence shall be developed.
This work package describes measures to implement training and learning. SENSE is going to prepare a concept for a technology training that can be used as part of existing summer schools, a virtual training section in the technology exchange platform, and two several days training events for young researchers. Special attention shall be taken that all activities and material are prepared in a gender equal fashion.
This work package defines the SENSE project administration and management and describes the responsibility of the coordinator of the project. The coordinator will ensure the successful operation of the project as a whole and the bodies defining the management structure. The project will be taking part in the Pilot on Open Research Data and it is the task of the project’s management to prepare the required data management plan.
